This has been one of my favorite quotes for a very long time and I knew that it would be a key element of my coaching brand. When I decided to use the picture of the bridge to represent the quote, I had second thoughts because the image was a bit dark and scary. The more I pondered, the more apparent it became that the ambiguity demonstrated by the photo was a powerful symbol of the faith that is required to step into your purpose. It was at that point that my soul reminded me that taking a step of faith is just like that – dark and scary. But that’s what FAITH is. FAITH is taking the step without knowing exactly what is going to happen and believing that your action will yield the results necessary for the next step. Trust, as symbolized by the suspension cables holding up the bridge, assures us that LIFE honors our steps of faith and will support the journey. You see, when you are driven to pursue what speaks to your soul, the details are unclear. You just step in the direction of your dream with complete trust that everything you need is waiting for you.
I have taken several major steps of faith along my journey and I am developing a courageous boldness with my proclamations and expectations. I still have many major leaps of faith to take and, although they are scary, they are not immobilizing. I am energized by what I have accomplished thus far and excited about what’s unfolding at this moment. It is my purpose, passion, in my DNA, to spread the message of hope, liberation and empowerment so that others can enthusiastically pursue their dreams. So here I am! There you are. Let’s create a partnership to overcome your fears and unleash your inner champion! It only takes one step.
